Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 24, 2026

AI ChatShot ("ChatShot", "we", "us") operates www.aichatshot.com, a free online tool that creates fictional chat screenshots in WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage styles. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site, and what is not.

No accounts, no registration

ChatShot has no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, password or payment details, and we do not operate a database of user profiles. You can use every feature of the site without signing up for anything.

How AI chat generation handles your text

When you describe a scenario and ask the AI to draft a conversation, the description you typed is sent from your browser to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider, NVIDIA (integrate.api.nvidia.com), so its model can generate the conversation. The generated chat is then returned to your browser.

We do not store your scenario descriptions or the generated conversations in a database, and we do not keep copies of them after your request completes. NVIDIA processes the text you submit under its own privacy terms. Please do not include sensitive personal information — yours or anyone else's — in scenario descriptions.

Editing messages and rendering or exporting screenshots happen locally in your browser. The images you export are created on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HPG4V8H5P7) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects usage information including pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and interactions with the site.

Our analytics events describe actions — for example, that a chat was generated and in which language, that a screenshot was downloaded, or that the interface language was switched. They do not include the text of your scenario descriptions or of generated chats. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out tools, without losing access to the tool itself.

Data stored in your browser

The site stores small amounts of data locally in your browser (localStorage) — for example your preferences, cached content for faster loading, a note that you dismissed the install prompt, and an offline sync queue. This data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Push notifications

If you choose to enable push notifications, your browser creates a push subscription and its endpoint is processed by our server to manage the subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time in your browser settings.

Server logs

Like most web services, our hosting platform (Vercel) keeps short-lived technical logs — such as request timestamps, IP addresses and error diagnostics — for security and reliability. These logs are not used to build user profiles and are not sold.

Sharing and selling data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share personal data with advertisers. Data flows only to the service providers described in this policy — Google (analytics), NVIDIA (AI generation) and Vercel (hosting) — for the purposes described.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no accounts and no database of user content, we generally cannot identify individual visitors in analytics data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; if you have a privacy question or request, contact us and we will do our best to help.

Children

ChatShot is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
